The Concession of the Bogotá-Girardot Highway gains momentum with its renewed brand

The Concession responsible for the Bogotá-Girardot Highway, a subsidiary of VINCI Highways, introduced "VÍA SUMAPAZ" as its new brand identity. The initiative reflects the momentum, new purposes, and long-term commitment to a strategic corridor for Colombia, serving 16 million drivers each year.

Two sections of the road, totaling over 60 km, have already been rehabilitated and put into service in the second half of 2023, demonstrating solid progress in the works carried out in synergy with VINCI Construction, also part of the VINCI Group. Additionally, over one-third of the third lane is already completed, as well as 50% of the road corridor rehabilitation, meeting the established schedule with the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI). The Concession's refinancing, achieved in April, has also reaffirmed long-term confidence in the project.

As a reflection of the new positive dynamics, the VÍA SUMAPAZ Concession also reaffirms its commitment to the region by paying tribute to the province, the highland (páramo), and the Sumapaz River, along with its rich biodiversity. In fact, the Concession is taking concrete measures to achieve a 50% reduction in its direct emissions by 2030, including the installation of solar panels, LED lighting in the tunnel, and the progressive replacement of vehicles with electric ones.

The brand will also serve as a platform to promote service quality and initiatives aimed at drivers. Following the operational roadmap of VINCI Highways, VÍA SUMAPAZ is in the process of modernizing its toll collection points, expanding capacity, and introducing new payment systems. In the coming months, it will launch a mobile application and open service areas offering a wide range of services, providing new stops to make drivers' journeys more comfortable.

The new brand will be visible starting today on the VÍA SUMAPAZ website and social media and will be rolled out over the next few months along the 145 km under the concession.
