José Daniel Fernández
José Daniel Fernández is a Civil Engineer specialized in Construction, Organization, and Management from the University of Cantabria (2002) and MBA in Infrastructure Project Management from the School of Industrial Organization (2012).
He began his professional career at Grupo Ferrovia, initially with Ferrovial Agroman US Corp in 2002, where he spent over 12 years holding various roles such as production manager, project manager, group leader, cost control manager, CEO of the Texas Highway Constructors LLC project, and project control manager for North Tarrant Express Segments 1 & 2. This allowed him to work in different countries such as Bolivia, Puerto Rico, and the United States. He later moved to Cintra US, a concessionaire of the Ferrovial Group, where he served as Design and Construction Manager on the group's concessioned highways in Texas and later as Operation and Maintenance Manager for North Tarrant Express Segments 1&2E.
Subsequently, he worked at Jacobs, a technical, professional, and construction services company, as a project control manager for 9 months. He then joined the We Build Group (formerly Salini-Impregilo) as Deputy Project Director on the High-Speed Rail Dallas-Houston, where he worked for 2 and a half years before moving to VÍA SUMAPAZ, a concession responsible for the modernization of the Bogotá-Girardot Highway and the expansion of 69 kilometers to a third lane, part of VINCI Highways.
José Daniel is in charge of the technical and maintenance area, where he defines the designs of the works, their execution, traffic management plans, and coordinates the social and environmental areas to make the project a sustainable initiative for communities and the environment.
