Long-term financing of the Bogotá-Girardot highway awarded by LatinFinance 

• The operation receives two major awards: “Road Financing of the Year” and “Infrastructure Financing of the Year: Andes” 

• Financial soundness of a major infrastructure concession in Colombia 

• Construction progressing fast, first extended sections ready to open 

Via 40 Express, subsidiary of VINCI Highways, concessionaire of the Bogota-Girardot highway, has received two major awards today from LatinFinance, the leading infrastructure financing news platform in Latin America and the Caribbean. 

The “Road Financing of the Year” and “Infrastructure Financing of the Year, Andes” awards highlight the successful completion, in April 2023, of the long-term financing of the Bogota-Girardot highway concession. Amounting to 2,675 billion Colombian pesos (€535 million), it stands as one of the most significant operations ever achieved within the framework of Colombia’s 4G program. 

The Bogotá-Girardot highway is the country’s busiest road, stretching from the Pacific coast to the centre of the capital city. Via 40 Express is currently delivering a large renovation and extension program, including the construction of a third lane, under a 30-year concession contract.
